And my obsession with dresses continues...when the announcements at school informed me of the upcoming dance, I just knew I was going to be making my own dress. So at first it included a halter type thing and was white, then it was white but backless and with a bow in the back, and now its sparkly turquoise and strapless! Now to anyone out there contemplating the combination of busting a move and wearing a strapless dress, you are ill advised. Not to infer that there was a mishap of any sort, but after a "to left! take it back now y'all!", there was no "hop one time". I absolutely LOVE the red buttons (which matched my red nails!) which was my way of avoiding stretchy material + zipper complications. I am SOOO glad I finished it in time (exactly an hour before) because I saw about 4 girls wearing the same dress I had as a back-up!

This is gorgeous! That color looks stunning on you, and it falls so perfectly! I know what you mean about dance-restricting dresses, though! I once learned that swing dancing with dips plus a looong dress........well, they don't work together. :) I like your fascinator, too. I need to make me one of those.......

thanks everyone! to antigone: i made the fascinator myself! it was super easy and it totally added to the retro-glam feel of the outfit. feathers + rhinestones + comb = awesomeness!

this is beautiful! the dress is SO cute and you look great in it :) also, i LOVE your shoes (i have a thing with shoes) where did you get them? (i'll get myself a pair next time i'm in the US i also love the hairpiece! i was thinking of making one for myself, but my hair is too this so i'm not sure i can war those comby thingies. maybe i'll use a hair clip instead
