Description

The Shakira dress is here as the first pattern with a bigger size range! Available in sizes 46 through 60, the Shakira dress is sure to be a good fit! Its simple tunic like shape makes it a versatile pattern for alterations- imagine it shortened to a shirt length, or lower the yoke to make a more feminine neckline. Or, make it just as is for a comfortable day dress.

Very beautiful fabric and a lovely dress but the model doesn't look like she wears a size 46 or larger?

I absolutely love this. I bought fabric this past weekend that would be perfect for a dress like this.

fiddling with a Sailor Moon outfit!

With it's princess seams, this would be easily altered for full bust measurements without ruining the overall look of the dress. Thank you from a D cup.

    mixing new and vintage fabrics!

Hurray! I'm not a big girl, but seeing nothing but super-skinny models was really making me not want to make anything else till I lost some weight! It's good to see BurdaStyle widen its size range; after all, what's custom-making good for if you can't make it to your size?
