Another great creation! First of all, it's not oldfashioned and second, it fits you perfect! If I were you, I would wear it. You said that this is your first highwaisted cloth, and maybe your boyfriend isn't used to see you in such a cloth. But wear it and hear other oppinions. :)

This is a great skirt! It's very flattering to your body. I agree with the comment about wearing it with a higher heel; and perhaps a tan or flesh tone shoe instead of a brightly colored one. That way, the shoe does not compete with the skirt.

This looks so good! you say you don't really have a waist, well that's what waist accenting clothes are good for: to suggest you do! And that works briljantly here. Your boyfriend just needs some time to get used to it, I guess. My boyfriend felt pretty much the same about my first high waisted garment, but now he loves it when I wear them (high waistband=long legs ;). It's still a bit of an 'up-and-coming' look, so no wonder it looks a bit strange and old-fashioned to him now.

Actually this is the first highwasted garment that I like! I think it suits you very well. You just have to point out to your boyfriend how gorgeous your butt looks in it. ;)
