This form fitting number is the "Belle de Jour" dress from Wendy Mullin's book Sew U: Home Stretch (which is, hands down, the best sewing purchase I made all year!) and it was incredibly simple to make. The blue fabric is a rayon stretch knit (with a tiny hint of sheen). I don't think the dress is supposed to be this body hugging, as I decided to make it x-small instead of the more-appropriate small. Anyway, I squeeze into it alright and as long as I can remember to suck in the gut, I think I'll be ok.

Wow, great and sexy ;)
Wow - you totally have the figure for a tight mini so I say enjoy it while you still can!!
even though it's form-fitting, it's really classy. love it. you can teach american apparel a thing or two!
okay, i think you've sold me on homestretch. i may not even wait for it to hit the library...
Wow. This dress totally makes me want to go get that book now. I've heard mixed reviews, but this looks great!
Very flattering! Great dress and nice work.
i absolutely love this dress!
this dress is fit u perfectly. I love simplicity and beauty of this dress. thank u
Oohhhh i really like this! I can totally picture sipping coffee in a cute little French cafe in this dress.
Unreal! Did you sew this with a serger? I have this book too and though it excites me it also terrifies me because I don't have a serger, or 'overlocker' as we call them here. Was it hard?
Very sophisticated! It suits you like a glove!
