  Make your own shoulder pads! Start by cutting 4 pieces of quilters batting that are in the shape of an arch. Simply use your designer's eye to create the curve. (Each shoulder pad is 2 layers).

  Step 2 of 8

  Either have a friend help you shape the pad over your shoulder, or use approximately the above measurements for making the shape. Fold the batting through both layers to make 2 darts along the curved edge towards the center of the pad. Pin.

  Step 3 of 8

  Sew the darts!

  Your finished shoulder pads should look like this.

  Step 5 of 8

  Cut a piece of lining fabric, approximately 1" bigger than the shoulder pad, and on the fold.

  Step 6 of 8

  Pin case around the shoulder pad.

• 

  Step 7 of 8

  Sew around curve and trim excess.

• 

  Step 8 of 8

  Now you've got 2 finished shoulder pads!
