Thank you for posting the How-To. I'm a bit colored blind and the pattern is difficult for me to see on the red paper. Would you be so kind as to show the process with photographs? I would be greatly appreciated! :o)

I've found some really good instructions in English here: http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/kade/ChristmasStar.pdf although they claim it's a German star :-)
