ERIN's WALL (10)
Hello, thanks for your comment on my shirt! :)
hi erin - sorry, i didn't see your comment until now! to answer your question about the sabrina dress, i added the five inches just by extending the line of the skirt panels. it hangs kind of weirdly, so if i make this version again, i will rethink how to lengthen it. thanks for the comment!
wow thank you for the comment! i´m hoping when i do my clothes that it people should think about 50s and 60s clothes when they see it, so now i know that i have succeeded! thank you!
Hi Erin, I think your idea about the V&A daydress combined with Sabrina(?) should look fine. I hope to see pictures soon. Cordially, Nehmah
Thank you Erin!
Happy sewing
Hi Erin, I’ll see what I can come up with for a how-to on my Alpaca Gauntlet gloves. I learned a lot about knitting in the round with four needles making them and I’m happy to share. Thanks for your kind feedback!
Hi Erin
The Emily shirt pattern is actually quite reasonable. I'm pretty much new to sewing and I didn't find it particularly difficult. I had to do the sleeve cap and collar over a few times but this is the first time making a shirt so I found it a little frustrating at times.
I've learned that good quality lightweight interfacing is crucial and to always be aware of my stitch length and tension because it really shows on the shirt if you got it right. Also, I felt that the instructions on the pattern are not specific enough and I'm not too sure about the sizing; it seems to run slightly large. The pattern allows you to add length to the sleeve and body so it is possible to make a fitted shirt.
I found the videos on how to sew a mens shirt by expertvillage very helpful too; go have a look!
I will be sewing a mens shirt using the Jakob pattern next.
All the best with what you're making.
Silas
Hi Erin,
Thanks for your comment on my wall. The first Talea pattern was made and designed by the German Burda Team for Easy Fashion. Let me know if you have any further questions. -B

I would like to thank you for your compliments concerning my coat. I am very happy with it. It looks good on me. I should make a photo with me whearing it, but I do not have any time for it. I bought this fabric on the fabric’s market which is organize in the area of my home once a year. I can buy there a lot of reduced fabrics.
