I like practical crafts - always have. I love having things that I have made for myself. Most of the time I like to use "recycled" fabric (otherwise know as old clothes and fabric from thrift stores) because if my projects don't turn out I don't stress it as much. But recently I've started buying fabric. My great grand father was a tailor; he made suits for my father and his brothers and ran his own tailor shop. I'm really sad that the local tailor has faded from most American cities. I think it is a pipe dream to think that it could come back, what with cheep clothes from China, Vietnam and other industrializing countries, but I love the idea of making clothes for myself and those closest to me. Sewing is also a way for me to experiment with and express styles, attitudes, and ideas.

Hi! I saw you in the current german burda moden magazin issue. Congrats on this! Hope to see more clothes from you to getting inspiration to make men clothes :)!
I love your bags, especially the woven tote bag. Never really thought about weaving my own fabrics before, I imagine it's very time consuming. The camera bag is amazing, probably the most interesting camera bag I've seen. Think I'll have a go at making my self one one day.
hello there. just thought i'd let you know that based on the awesomeness of your bags, i'm pretty sure you're not a "novice" anymore, but that's just my opinion. seriously though, your bags and woven articles look quite professional (:
you're more inspiring than you know. i'm happy i clicked on your profile. :)
I like your motto "Make, don't buy" you've presented in the Featured member questionaire. I do agree :)
