    You asked about the skirt for my fiesta dress-it was pretty much a full circle. I think what makes it neat is the effect the vertical stripes create. It was from the dress pattern Butterick B4919.

    slightly overwhelmed with projects

    My dressform started out as a store mannequin (the headless, armless, cloth-covered body type)-- a friend of mine grabbed a couple for free from a bridal store that was getting rid of them, and passed one on to me. The proportions were just about perfect for me, fortunately-- I just had to make the measurements a bit bigger with quilt batting/duct tape/an old bra. But it's been great!
